SHIFT INTO HIGH GEAR

Curriculum, certified by NATEF (National Automotive Technician Education Foundation), includes intensive training in the classroom, in the shop, and in the industry. San Diego Miramar College uses state-of-the-art diagnostic and computerized automotive technology – for the beginning technician or for the returning technician upgrading job skills. As the automotive industry shifts into high gear with emerging technologies, so does San Diego Miramar College – now recognized as the Advanced Transportation Technology and Energy Center of San Diego County. You will be introduced to the growing opportunities in alternative fuel vehicles and new automotive technologies.

CERTIFICATES & DEGREES

A certificate of achievement and associate in science in automotive technology can be completed in two years or less. San Diego Miramar College is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

WORK EXPERIENCE/INTERNSHIPS. TOYOTA & HONDA CERTIFICATION

Toyota and Honda are key partners working with San Diego Miramar College to coordinate training in the San Diego region. Working as an intern will give you the competitive edge, and you can earn cash and college credit while you learn the technician skills of the auto service industry.

WHY PAY THE HIGH COST OF A TRADE SCHOOL?

San Diego Miramar College is a community college with low enrollment fees established by the California State Legislature with the lowest rates reserved for California residents of at least one year. Veteran’s Affairs (VA) benefits, scholarships, and other financial aid is available to qualifying students.

ENROLLMENT

Enrollment is open to high school graduates and persons at least 18 years of age, with or without a high school diploma. Applicants should be mechanically adept and physically fit.
