The Aviation Operations Program integrates simulator flight training with rigorous academic study, providing a strong foundation for leadership positions within the aviation industry. The program emphasizes the study of a unique combination of group dynamics, human factors, and safety awareness along with the technical fundamentals of flight in order to enhance students' development of situational awareness, critical thinking and problem solving skills. Miramar College's Aviation Operation Program meets all requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration's Part 141 Pilot Ground School.

San Diego Miramar College is a community college with low enrollment fees established by the California State Legislature with the lowest rates reserved for California residents of at least one year. Veteran’s Affairs (VA) benefits, scholarships, and other financial aid is available to qualifying students. Miramar College’s Aviation Operations Program meets all requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Part 141 Pilot Ground School.
Enrollment is open to high school graduates and persons at least 18 years of age, with or without a high school diploma. Applicants should be mechanically adept and possess basic math and English skills. Day and evening classes are offered to fit your schedule.
